The Goals
- Understand the client’s financial goals as it relates to the IT initiative under consideration.
- Design a complete cost of ownership acquisition model and plan which will optimize the financial impact of this IT initiative on the corporation as desired. The payment plan will include all elements of ‘cost’ associated with this project including Project Payback, Return on Investment, Capital Used for Investment, and the Impact on the Balance Sheet.
Bottom Line: The Asset Management topics outlined in the Gartner Group’s analysis are consistent with the implementation of our IT Acquisition Modeling program within each enterprise. Our focus is in coupling the metrics of an Asset Management program with the business issues of the enterprise, and analyzing the economics of the acquisitions against the return forecasted by management. If the end result is a better business model for the customer, then the assumption is that reviewing alternative acquisition methods as part of the overall analysis becomes a pro-active component to the Asset Management Program.
